The Yankees’ offseason, much like it was two years ago, largely will be defined by one player.

This time, instead of Aaron Judge, the waiting game now involves another superstar free-agent outfielder, Juan Soto.

And like that 2022 offseason, this offseason will also involve questions about Carlos Rodón.

Back in 2022, the Yankees followed up the re-signing of Judge to a nine-year, $360 million deal by adding Rodón on a six-year, $162 million contract with the idea the left-hander would be an ideal No. 2 behind ace Gerrit Cole.
