Dave Portnoy enjoyed seeing Bryce Mitchell get choked out Saturday night at UFC 314 in Miami.
The Barstool Sports founder waved Israel’s flag as the 30-year-old American featherweight, who praised Adolf Hitler and denied that the Holocaust happened on his podcast in January, lost in the second round to Brazil’s Jean Silva.
“Always fun to see a Hitler lover get his ass whopped,” Portnoy, who greeted President Donald Trump at the event, wrote on X along with a video of him waving the flag on what was the first night of Passover.
Mitchell, an Arkansas native, sparked outrage during the first episode of his “ArkanSanity” podcast in January, when he ranted about conspiracy theories involving Hitler and the Holocaust, in which Hitler led the killing of six million Jews.
He said that Hitler “was a good guy based on [his] own research” while also making anti-gay comments.
“[Hitler] fought for his country, he wanted to purify [Germany] by kicking the greedy Jews out that were destroying his country and turning ’em all into gays,” Mitchell said. “They were gay-ing up the kids, they were queer-ing up the women, they were queer-ing up the dudes.”
Mitchell also said, “There’s no possible way they could’ve burned and cremated six million bodies, you’re going to realize the Holocaust ain’t real.”
The comments were quickly condemned by UFC CEO Dana White.
“I’ve heard a lot of dumb, ignorant s–t in my day, but this one’s probably the worst,” White said at the time “… Hitler is one of the most disgusting and evil human beings to ever walk the face of the earth. And anyone who even tries to take an opposing position is a moron. That’s the problem with the internet and social media — you provide a platform for a lot of dumb, ignorant people.”
Mitchell, who is also a flat-Earther, was trolled by Silva at a UFC 314 press conference last month in Las Vegas as Silva brought a globe with him to the podium.
“Bro, you’re going to start seeing the world as round, you are going to start seeing that soon,” Silva said at the time.
