Jayson Tatum will suit up for the Boston Celtics and could return as soon as Friday, nearly 10 months after his Achilles injury, according to ESPN.

The six-time NBA All-Star forward reportedly is expected to make his season debut at home Friday against the Mavericks.

The team listed Tatum as questionable on Thursday’s injury report.

Tatum, 28, will inform the Celtics of a final decision over the next day.

He suffered a torn right Achilles tendon during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Knicks on May 12, 2025.

Tatum averaged 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game last season.
