Saïd Business School and Sumqayıt State University have signed an Endorsement Agreement for the Oxford Säid Burjeel Holdings Climate Change Challenge 2024, marking a significant step in global efforts to combat climate change. This partnership aims to foster innovation, education, and leadership among young people.
The Climate Change Challenge is now live and invites high school students (ages 15-18) and teachers to participate. In anticipation of COP29, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, this global competition encourages young people and educators to contribute their ideas and take action towards creating solutions to the climate crisis. The competition focuses on five key climate challenges:
– Air pollution
– Extreme weather
– Water scarcity
– Food security
– Biodiversity
Finalists will be invited to present their solutions to a distinguished audience in Baku, Azerbaijan during COP29 in November. The winners will then have the unique opportunity to participate in a tailored climate change program at Saïd Business School in Oxford in 2025, led by world-leading academics.
Participants can enter the competition either as part of a student team or as a teacher. For detailed information on submission guidelines, background on the five challenges, and judging criteria, please visit:https://oxsbs.link/4c7YRPg
