ESPN’s Mina Kimes walked the red carpet at the 2023 ESPY Awards with an extra guest.
The well-respected NFL analyst revealed Wednesday that she is pregnant with her first child in a tweet that included a picture of her with a noticeable baby bump.
“At the espys, brought a date,” Kimes, 37, wrote on Twitter with a hearts emoji.
The news of Kimes’ pregnancy brought plenty of congratulations across social media, including from her fellow teammates at the Worldwide Leader.
“Now that’s how you do a baby announcement!” fellow ESPNer Sarah Spain wrote on Twitter.
“I can say one thing with certainty: that child already knows ball,” Mike Golic Jr. tweeted in response to the news.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter jokingly wrote “developing story” in a quote tweet of Kimes’ announcement.
Kimes has been with ESPN since 2014 and has grown into a major presence on the network.
She first wrote features for the company’s now-defunct magazine before moving more to podcasts and major ESPN TV shows.
She now serves as an analyst on “NFL Live” and is a regular contributor on “Around the Horn.”
She landed at ESPN in part thanks to a Tumblr post about the connection football provided her with her dad.
Kimes married her husband, music producer Nick Sylvester, in 2015.
They have a dog together named Lenny.
